Educational Audiologist Services
As your districts personal educational audiologists, we continuously support your mission to ensure every hearing-impaired student receives comprehensive audiology support. These valuable services not only assist the academic success of your students, but they also foster strong communication skills. Your student’s psychosocial well-being is fully supported by these collaborative services.
Throughout this entire process, our role consists of:
- Utilizing the critical educational audiology subspecialty to provide students with the equipment and assistance they need
- Finding students who have been identified with hearing loss and obtaining their clinical audiological records in addition to personal medical records
- Using this crucial information to make qualified recommendations to the school’s 504 and planning and placement team which guarantees equal curriculum access to deaf and hard of hearing students in the classroom
- Working with the school staff to fully understand how hearing loss has affected the academic and social success of each individual student in the classroom
- Ensuring each child with hearing loss has fully-functioning, high-quality equipment they need to succeed through consistent support from their properly trained teachers
